Amy L. Jackson joined Rammelkamp Bradney in 2002 and concentrates her practice in employment law, insurance defense litigation, and in the representation of several electric cooperatives. Since 2006, she has served as the Administrative Adjudication Officer for the City of Jacksonville’s Municipal Court.
A graduate of Jacksonville High School, Amy earned her bachelor’s degree from Illinois Wesleyan University and her law degree from St. Louis University School of Law.
Before her affiliation with Rammelkamp Bradney, Amy worked in private practice in St. Louis, Missouri, served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois in the Environmental Bureau, and worked as a Hearing Officer and attorney for the Illinois Pollution Control Board.
Amy devotes a good portion of her practice to advising businesses and individuals regarding employment rights and responsibilities in all areas related to employment law, including employment handbooks, employee benefits, legal compliance (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, Illinois Wage Payment Act, Illinois Human Rights Act), and employee discipline/termination. As part of her employment practice, Ms. Jackson has also been involved in collective bargaining and grievance procedures.
Amy also has extensive experience representing clients in various tribunals, including federal and state courts and administrative agencies (i.e., Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission, Illinois Department of Human Rights, Illinois Department of Employment Security, EEOC, and the Illinois Pollution Control Board). Her representation of clients involved in litigation includes participation in jury trials, bench trials, administrative hearings, arbitration, and mediation.
For the last eight years, Amy has become involved in representation of electric utilities; currently serving as General Counsel for two electric cooperatives in Illinois.
Amy is licensed to practice in both Illinois and Missouri.
